Summer Reading Program

The Summer Reading Program is held annually from January till February of each year.  This is to encourage children to continue reading over the summer school holidays.  Children of all ages join up with their library card at any branch and receive a "goodies bag".  Each time a child or parent of very young children read 5 books they fill out their form and hand it into the nearest branch to go into the weekly draw.  Each weekly draw has various prizes.  At the end of the program there is a "Big Draw" with lots of prizes which have been donated by a number of business' within the Shire.
