Bega
Valley Shire Library has a new and
exiting Volunteer Reader Program
called
Grandparents and Books,
where adults read to children in the
library. Our
GAB program will start
at Bega Library and later be offered
at the other branches, including our
Mobile.
Become a GAB Volunteer Reader
The GAB
Volunteer Reader Program brings
adults and children together to
share their love of reading.
GAB
readers are trained in techniques
that make books come alive.
Training is provided where
volunteers are introduced to popular
read-aloud titles and learn fun ways
to share books with children,
You can make a Difference
Sharing stories with a GAB reader
can improve a child's reading
skills, enrich their imaginations
and develop a life-long love of
reading.
For more information about becoming
a GAB Reader talk to staff @ your
local branch library or call Anne
Moore, Children and Young Adult
Librarian on 6499 2242.
