Easy Guides Council has a range of FREE ‘easy guides’ available on topics such as worm farming, home composting, the marvel of mulch, recycling and natural cleaning. These guides are great for fixing problems with your worm farm and compost heaps, and also have handy hints on how to make your own ‘natural cleaners’ at home.

Easy Worm FarmingWorm Farming Worm farms are great to turn your vegetable scraps into a rich soil-like substance called ‘castings’ and they also produce a liquid referred to as ‘worm tea’. The castings and worm tea can be used as an alternative to fertiliser for house plants, potting soils or top dressing around plants. The ‘Easy Guide to Worm Farming’ will help you set up your very own worm farm, teach you what to feed your worms and fix any problems that may occur.

Easy CompostingHome Composting Compost heaps are a great way to reuse lawn clippings and prunings, and when mixed with vegetable scraps and other organics can make a nutrient rich potting mix and mulch that can be used around your garden. The ‘Easy Guide to Home Composting’ will assist you in setting up your own compost heap, and have you producing nutrient rich compost in no time.

the Marvel of MulchThe Marvel of Mulch Mulch is a great way to keep your soils moist and cool so you don’t need to water your garden as often. ‘The Marvel of Mulch - Easy Guide’ offers some great advice on how to create your own mulch, different types of materials that can be used as mulch, and where to place your mulch so your plants and trees benefit the most.

The Easy guide to Natural CleaningNatural Cleaning ‘Natural cleaning’ or ‘green cleaning’ is a great way to clean your home with fewer cleaning products, producing less waste and reducing the need for harmful chemicals. The ‘Easy Guide to Natural Cleaning’ will help you make some great, cheap alternatives to clean your kitchen, bathroom, living room, clothes and car.

The Easy Recycling GuideRecycling Recycling saves mountains of resources that would otherwise be dumped in landfills.
