Please read these guidelines to assist in completing the
application form.

Bushfire Control
BASIX Certificate
If you are
building a new home, you need a BASIX Certificate to
submit with your development Application.
From 1 October 2006, BASIX applies
throughout NSW for:
dual occupancies;
-
villas;
-
townhouses;
-
multi-unit apartments
-
Major renovations in
NSW will be subject to energy and water conservation
requirements. A BASIX Certificate will be required if:

Your renovation work is valued at
$100,00 or more. (From 1 July 2007, the value drops to
$50,000);

You are installing a swimming pool (or
pool and spa) with a volume greater than 40,000 litres.

You should write to Council if you are unsure of the
restrictions or any limitations on the land and Council
will provide a written response. Please note that this
advice will attract a fee.

In general, planners are available
between 8.30 am and 11 am and building surveyors by
appointment only. It is necessary to make an appointment
to discuss your proposal with a Council officer. |
