Rate variation approved

Council has been successful in gaining the Minister's approval for a special rate variation of 6.13% in addition to the state government 3.20% rate capping. This provides Council a total rate increase of 9.33% for the 2008-09 financial year. This variation will provide an overall increase in revenue of $1,473,070.
