image - Eden Book ClubInformation on locating, accessing and starting a book club

We encourage any group who would welcome a new member to provide us with a name and contact details.

Join a local Book Club

  • Bega – U3A (University of the Third Age) Book Discussion Group. The group meets at Betty's home in Merimbula on the 3rd Thursday of each month from 2pm to 4pm. A nominal membership fee is required.

  • Merimbula - A small informal Book Club meets monthly in a Merimbula coffee shop. The group has been going for 6 months and has an age group of 30s to 60s, male or female, there are five regulars currently. The books are recommended by the local bookshop and the material is chosen by the group.

  • Merimbula - Informal Book Club with a membership of nine. New members welcome.

  • Eden Book Club - Hot cuppa, good book, like-minded company, great conversation - Sounds like fun!! Interested parties, either male or female, who would like to be involved in discussing the formation of such a club are encouraged to phone Lindy and/or place their name on the register on the front desk at the Eden Library.

Start a Book Club

The CAE - Centre of Adult Education can help you start up a Book Club. The CAE will send you catalogue of books for the club to choose from. The books are sent once a month on loan. The CAE require the group to meet on a regular basis and club must meet the membership requirements and there is also a small fee involved. For more information go to the CAE website.

ABC Radio International, Monday to Friday 10am, program called "The Book Show",  presenter - Ramona Koval.
