Council’s role is to walk with the community; to listen, understand and do the work to advance its needs by advocating on its behalf to other levels of government and implementing social, economic and built improvements.

The work we do covers a wide range of services including children services, libraries, customer service, finance, engineering, project management, road works, water management, looking after our parks, gardens and town centres, environmental and management/executive roles. Most recently we’ve added recovery, rebuilding and resilience to what we do.
