New Merimbula playground nearly ready
Work on the new playground at Ford Park, Merimbula, is nearly complete.

Work on the new playground at Ford Park, Merimbula, is nearly complete.
The final piece of equipment, the centrepiece spinner, is being installed this week and landscaping works will also get underway.
Areas of softfall rubber are due to be laid by specialist contractors next week (commencing 21 March, weather permitting).
All going well the playground will open for locals and visitors to try out the new playground over the Easter weekend.
Installing the shade structures is the last element of the project and is scheduled for early April. For safety reason this will mean the temporary closure of the playground for a couple of days.
Members of the community and visitors are invited to attend the grand opening at Ford Park, planned for Friday 15 April at 11.30.
The new playground is funded by Council, plus generous contributions from The Touched by Olivia Foundation, Rotary, NSW Government and Bega Cheese.
