Become a volunteer, it is a great way to make a difference and support your local community.
Council is calling for expressions of interest to form new Community Hall Committees at Pambula and Tathra.
These halls are important spaces where people of all ages come together; engage in cultural and recreational activities, create connections and build stronger communities.
Council welcomes the participation of the community in the care, maintenance and management of community halls; with the engagement of local people enabling us to better understand and respond to local needs and aspirations.
While no particular qualifications are necessary to hold a position on the committees, a commitment to the delegated roles and responsibilities and a willingness to be actively involved in committee activities, and work constructively and positively with Council is essential.
All members of the Community Hall Committees are appointed by resolution of Council.
If you are interested, please complete the volunteer nomination form before 30 June.
