Cemeteries Strategic Plan - Community Consultations

Have Your Say

Bega Valley Shire Council is committed to the ongoing preservation and improvement of the Shire’s cemeteries.

Council has engaged Kategic Solutions to undertake community consultations to understand community sentiment and views to develop a strategic plan.

Consultation will be wide, enabling all stakeholders to be able to share their views and feedback on the long term vision of the Shire’s cemeteries.

Please provide your valuable feedback via the online survey.

Hard copies of the survey will also be available at the front desk of Council’s administration office and at the libraries located at Bega, Bermagui, Tura Beach and Eden.

Please submit your feedback by 3 March 2019

Background

Prior to Council management of the Cemeteries in 2009, Shire Cemeteries were managed by local community groups and committees.

The development of a strategic plan will guide Council’s direction regarding the ongoing preservation, improvement and overall management of the Shire’s cemeteries; giving consideration to cultural and religious issues.

The final Cemeteries Strategic Plan will be placed on public exhibition after it has been adopted by Council for any further comments.
