Exhibition of Draft Rural Living Strategic Directions Report

Council has prepared a Draft Rural Living Strategic Directions report. The aim of the report is to provide direction for the planning and development of housing in our rural catchments and villages for the next 25 years.

The report is on exhibition between the 4 February and 5 March 2019 and can be viewed at Council’s Bega office, the Tura Marrang, Eden and Bermagui libraries.

Staff will also be available at the following locations from the 11 February to  21 February 2019 during normal opening hours to assist with any enquiries:

  • Mondays: Bega Office
  • Tuesday's: Bermagui Library
  • Wednesdays: Tura Marrang Library
  • Thursdays: Eden Library

Submissions to the draft report are invited. Submissions received during the exhibition period may be made public and will be considered by Council before the final report is adopted.

Catchment Analysis- The following section of this report examines each rural catchment including both rural residential and village growth. Recommendations for each catchment are presented and strategic directions are presented for each village.
