Beauty Point Boat Ramp

The following scope of works will be delivered at the site:

  • Replacement of the existing gravel boat ramp with a new reinforced concrete double boat ramp;
  • Enlargement and upgrade of the existing access road and boat launching area;
  • Provision of boat wash-down facilities; and
  • Upgrade of lighting.

Following community consultation, Council is reviewing the final access/exit road and boat wash-down designs which will be uploaded to this site when finalised.

The overarching purpose of this project is to improve the standard of this recreational boating facility, utilised by locals and visitors alike.

Council’s Maritime Infrastructure Plan (February 2014) identified upgrades to the existing boat ramp, manoeuvring area and access road as medium-long term scope of works items; and Transport for NSW’s Far South Coast Regional Boating Plan (February 2015) identified the Beauty Point boat ramp upgrade as a priority regional project.

Total project funding = $410,000

  • RMS contribution = $325,000 via the NSW Boating Now Program
  • BVSC contribution = $85,000
