The following scope of works will be delivered at the site:
Following community consultation, Council is reviewing the final access/exit road and boat wash-down designs which will be uploaded to this site when finalised.
The overarching purpose of this project is to improve the standard of this recreational boating facility, utilised by locals and visitors alike.
Council’s Maritime Infrastructure Plan (February 2014) identified upgrades to the existing boat ramp, manoeuvring area and access road as medium-long term scope of works items; and Transport for NSW’s Far South Coast Regional Boating Plan (February 2015) identified the Beauty Point boat ramp upgrade as a priority regional project.
Total project funding = $410,000
Site preparation works including tree removal will start during the week commencing 4 March.
The boat ramp and associated access road will not be available for use for approximately 6 weeks; barring any unforeseen circumstances the new facility will be available for use by Easter.
