If you’d like to help build an understanding of local skills shortages then now is a good time to take part in the South Coast Skills Audit run by Regional Development Australia.

Bega Valley Shire Council’s General Manager, Leanne Barnes said the last audit conducted in 2012 provided a great resource for the local business sector as well as for people planning their careers.

“This helps everyone in the Shire to get a better picture of where skills training is needed most,” she said.

“With the Bega Valley Regional Training Centre now servicing the community this will give us an ideal opportunity to attract training providers and programs that are dovetailed to the needs of the local business sector.”

Regional Development Australia is keeping the survey open until close of business on Friday this week.
