Background

Council has received a request from the Biamanga National Park Board of Management to establish an Alcohol Free Zone (AFZ) within the Biamanga National Park Aboriginal Cultural Area. This proposal is to address anti-social activity associated with alcohol consumption within the Aboriginal Cultural Area.

The proposed AFZ would provide additional powers to assist NSW Police in reducing alcohol-related antisocial behaviours and bolster public safety and awareness.
