More homes for seniors in Pambula

Tuesday 16 June 2015

Pambula is to get a more accommodation for seniors or people with disabilities with Councillors voting to approve a development application for five self-contained two bedroom units.

The approved DA allows for a staged Seniors Living Development involving the demolition of an existing dwelling with garage and the erection of five units in Martin Street, Pambula.

Council’s Group Manager of Planning and Environment, Andrew Woodley, said that four submissions were received in relation to the development and covered issues including extra traffic and parking, solar access, an increased number of garbage bins and the appearance of the proposed units.

He said staff had considered the issues raised and had identified that the development proposal met all of the provisions of State Environmental Planning Policy (Housing for Seniors or People with a Disability) 2004.
