Bega Valley Shire Council and Tathra Landcare will hold a workshop outlining the value of coastal headland vegetation at Tathra on Saturday 14 November from 9am to 12.30pm.
Topics include the Value of Coastal Vegetation; Weeds and Other Threats; Recent Works; Garden Plant Selection and Care; with presentations from local botanist Stuart Cameron, Council vegetation management staff and Tathra Landcare.
The day will also include a guided ecological walk of the site and a demonstration by Rob Summers of how cliff abseiling is used in environmental works.
Meet at the entrance to the walking tracks near the turning circle at the end of Bay St, Tathra at 9am. There will be a barbecue lunch provided by Council.
