Bega Valley Shire Library is now offering free access to an innovative, award-winning Australian app called BorrowBox, with new users during December and January going into a prize draw.

BorrowBox allows library members to easily browse and borrow bestselling eBooks and eAudiobooks on an Apple or Android device and includes titles for children, teens and adults.

Library Operations Team Leader, Sam Fenton said, “This app makes it possible for everyone to enjoy books and audio wherever they are at any time of day.”

“Our library service is committed to giving the community the best possible access to all our services and this is yet another step in that direction.”

The BorrowBox app is free and available from the App Store or the Google Play Store. Just log in with your library membership card and you can access over 8000 eBooks and 4500 eAudiobooks and you can borrow up to four items at a time for up to two weeks or longer if loans are extended.

The choice of Australian and international bestsellers grows constantly and you’ll find the best of Australian, New Zealand and international authors including Matthew Reilly, Di Morrissey, David Baldacci, Kate Morton, Jodi Picoult, Andy Griffiths and many others.

BorrowBox is well known for its user friendly interface and it is very straight-forward to install and use but if you need help please pop into any Shire library with your device and ask our friendly library staff how to use the new app.

As part of the promotion for this new product people who install the app during the months of December and January will go into a draw to a win prize.

It is free for residents and ratepayers to join the Bega Valley Shire Library by visiting one of our libraries at Bega, Bermagui, Tura Beach or Eden and presenting current identification. Alternatively, join online at www.begavalley.nsw.gov.au.
