This notice is to inform local residents and interested persons about the public exhibition of a Planning Proposal to amend Bega Valley Local Environmental Plan 2013 in accordance with Sections 3.34(2)(c) and Schedule 1 Clause 4 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.This planning proposal outlines the zoning and minimum lot sizes involving 4 deferred sites under Council’s previous Bega Valley Local Environmental Plan 2002.
The majority of this land has been identified for future growth as part of previous planning schemes. This planning proposal provides an additional supply of residential land that will generate much needed growth in Wolumla to be supported by a more detailed place based review of the village focused on the needs of the community over the next 20 years.
A copy can be viewed at Council’s Bega office at Zingel Place, Bega, Tura Marrang Library at Tura Beach Drive, Tura Beach, Eden Library located at the corner of Imlay and Mitchell Streets, Eden or the Bermagui Library at Bunga Street, Bermagui during normal opening hours.
The public exhibition period for this Planning Proposal has been extended for an additional 2 weeks to provide residents and the community with additional time to consider the proposed re-zonings
The planning proposal will now be on exhibition from the 23 July 2018 until the 7 September 2018.
Council staff will also be available to discuss the planning proposal at two public information sessions to be held at the Wolumla Town Hall on the following dates:
