The profile presents data for the local government area, and for smaller areas within it (e.g. suburbs). This data is presented in easy-to-use tables, charts, maps and commentary, covering a wide range of topics. It includes over 30 years of data, enabling users to analyse changes over time. The profile answers many frequently asked socio-demographic questions, assisting Council, the general public, students, community groups, organisations, business and investors to become more informed about the community.
Data is consolidated from numerous sources, including the Australian Bureau of Statistics, Hometrack, the Australian Business Register, the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations and the National Institute for Economic and Industry Research (NIEIR).
The Community Profile enables you to analyse the population characteristics of your community, such as age, ethnicity, education, employment and income.
The Economic Profile provides detailed data and economic modelling for a wide array of economic indicators, including industry composition, output, imports, exports, employment and housing.
The Social Atlas enables you to generate detailed maps of demographic data for the shire.
The Population Forecast provides detailed population and household forecasts.
The Housing Monitor is a valuable for tool for monitoring trends in housing supply, demand, stress and affordability.
