Questacon is coming to the Bega library as part of the Regional Innovation Week in the Bega Valley Shire that runs from 27 April to 3 May.

The Questacon Maker Project will offer free walk-up workshops between 3pm and 9pm on Thursday 28 April as well as two scheduled 90 minute workshops on the same day.

Council’s Programs and Partnerships Officer, Scott Baker, said the walk-up workshops will be interactive and hands-on using technology and engineering themes to suit a wide audience including children whereas the scheduled workshops are aimed at people aged from 12 years to adults.

“We are thrilled to be able to support our Regional Innovation Week by hosting these dynamic Questacon workshops giving locals the chance to engage with new ideas and the latest technology,” he added.

The scheduled workshops are free and will offer an in-depth focus on robotics and 3D design and printing. One workshop will start at 4.30pm and the second one at 6.30pm, both at Bega library.

Places are limited to 20 people for each scheduled workshop. To book your place, register online at questaconbega2016.eventbrite.com.au or phone Bega library on 6499 2127.
