Storytime at Tura Marrang Library and the Bermagui community hall will be transformed into musicals this month when the Arcadia Winds quintet perform.
A collaboration between Bega Valley Shire Library and Music in the Regions, the talented wind quintet will perform some fairytale pieces from French composer, Maurice Ravel’s Mother Goose suite.
Bega Valley Shire Library Learning and Engagement Officer, Sugita Wahl said she is excited to bring these talented young musicians to the shire to entertain all ages.
“Arcadia Winds is made up of bassoon, horn, clarinet, oboe and flute and bring energy and joy to their performances.
“We welcome everyone to come along and be captivated by Sleeping Beauty in the woods, Little Tom Thumb on his adventures in the forest and Laideronnette as she explores a new, magical world.
“Arcadia Winds has performed on festival stages in almost every state and territory in Australia and through mainland China. Their broadcast on the BBC Proms Australia chamber music series has put Arcadia Winds on the global stage.”
Ms Wahl said musical storytimes are always great fun and enjoyed by all ages and abilities within our community.
