Wednesday 17 August 2016

Bega Valley Shire Council has engaged a Contactor to lay conduit along Minyama Parade, Bega, between the Prospect Street and Maher Street intersections, opposite the Council’s Works Office.

The work forms part of Council’s communication network upgrade program which involves the emplacement of conduits and fibre optic cables under the road surface.  The work will be conducted from Wednesday, 24 August to Friday, 27 August 2016 between 7am and 4pm.

Traffic control will be in place and there may be minor delays, however it is not envisaged that the road will be closed.  As the work involves trenching along the kerb line, Council asks that cars not be parked along this section of road during the specified construction period.

If required, local residents can temporarily use the Council carpark off Maher Street for the duration of the works.

For more information phone Works Manager Ian Macfarlane on 6499 2420.
