National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to creative writing.

On November 1, participants begin working towards the goal of writing a 50,000-word novel by 11:59 PM on November 30.

Valuing enthusiasm, determination, and a deadline, NaNoWriMo is for anyone who has ever thought about writing a novel.

The Writers of the Far South Coast and the Bega Valley Shire Library are coming together to host weekly meetings for local participants at the Tura Marrang Library and Community Centre.

“Writing can be such a solitary endeavour that even a weekly meeting can boost motivation to keep the fingers tapping the keys,” said Scott Baker the Programs and Partnerships officer for the Bega Valley Shire Library.

There is an information evening at 5.30pm on Thursday 27 Oct at the Tura Marrang Library and Community Centre and then weekly meet-ups from 10am -12pm every Saturday in November at the same location.
