Easter with Council

Bega Valley Shire Council will close for Easter at 4.30pm on Thursday, 24 March until 9am on Tuesday 29 March.

All Council tips will be closed on Good Friday and then open as normal. Garbage collection will operat as usual over the Easter period.

All libraries across the Shire are also closed for the four days over Easter.

The Bega Valley Regional Gallery will be closed on Good Friday but will open from 9am to 2pm on both Saturday and Sunday to provide the opportunity to locals and visitors to view the blockbuster Flora Australis exhibition. The Gallery will be closed on Monday, 28 March.

Eden Child Care Centre will close at 5.30pm on Thursday 24 March and reopen on Tuesday 29 March at 7.30am. Bandara Children’s Services will close on Thursday at 5.45pm and reopen on Tuesday at 7.45am. Eden Preschool will close at 4pm on Thursday and reopen on Tuesday at 8.30 am.  The Sapphire Mobile service will not operate from Bemboka on Friday 25 march.

The last day the outdoor pools will be open is Easter Monday, 28 March, except Cobargo Pool which will remain open until Sunday 3 April.  All pools will be closed Good Friday.

Modified hours of pools opening on Easter Monday are Bega 10am to 3pm; Bemboka 2pm to 6pm; Candelo 10am to 3pm; Eden 10am to 6pm; and Cobargo 6am to 9am and 10am to 6pm; then normal hours until 3 April. The Sapphire Aquatic Centre will be open from 10am to 5pm.
