Bega Bypass update: The Roads and Maritime Services' (RMS) project manager of the Bega bypass will present an update on the project in the Bega Valley Shire Council public forum  at 1pm on Tuesday, May 22,  You are welcome to attend. The Bega bypass will be approximately 3.5 kilometres long and use an existing road corridor to the west of Bega.

Temporary Closure - Beach Street Car Park, Merimbula: Council will be temporarily closing the Beach Street car park between the information centre and war memorial from April 30 to May 31.

Temporary Road Closures - Wanatta Lane, Wolumla: Council advises that major road works are planned for Wanatta Lane, Wolumla from early May to late July 2012. find out more »»»

Reclassification of Council owned land: A report of a public hearing on the reclassification of Council owned land has been held in accordance with the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and the Local Government Act has been completed. find out more »»»

Proposed renaming of road in Eden: Notice is hereby given that the Bega Valley Shire Council, pursuant to Section 162(1) of the Roads Act 1993, proposes to rename the following section of road to alleviate confusion associated with the similarity in adjacent road names. Featuring the work of emerging sculptor Harry Townsend and painter Craig Cameron.

Craig Cameron’s body of work will include both painting and New Media. He has twice been a finalist in the FSC Living Artist Program.

The guest speaker at the exhibition opening is Helen Maxwell; curator, former gallerist and legendary fixture on the Canberra Art scene.
