 
Much of the
information within this report has been sourced from the Healthy
Rivers Commission (HRC), which conducted a comprehensive inquiry
into the Bega River System (HRC 2000). A Statement of Intent (SOI)
was released by the NSW State Government in 2002, which
recommends that an Estuary Management Plan (EMP) be prepared.
This data review is a precursor to an EMP and its associated
estuary
studies.
