Dignams Creek Bridge Replacement
Council will replace the existing the old single-lane timber bridge over Dignams Creek with a new single-lane concrete bridge.

Project Summary/background
Council will replace the existing single-lane timber bridge over Dignams Creek on Dignams Creek Road, with a new 39.5m long single-lane concrete bridge.
The new bridge will be constructed by experienced contractors, who have completed similar design and construct bridges for Eurobodalla Shire Council and have been engaged for the upcoming bridge replacement on Ritchies Lagoon.
The new bridge will feature a three-span concrete design, supported by two structures within the creek. The spans have been designed to minimise that the impact of their supporting structures on the flow of water and passage of fish in Dignams Creek.
The new concrete bridge will be more resilient to natural disasters such as fire and flooding, ensuring Dignams Creek Road can be reopened sooner following major weather events.
It will also improve traffic flow and will ease future maintenance burden.
Funding
The project is fully funded by the Transport for NSW Fixing Country Bridges Program, with the estimated project cost being $1.92 million.
