The information below is provided to meet Bega Valley Shire Council’s (BVSC’s) obligations under clause 98D of the Regulation in relation to its licensed landfills. The purpose of this document is to improve public access to information about the way pollution incidents are reported, managed and communicated to the general community.

The following authorities shall be notified immediately in the event of an emergency or incident which has caused or threatened material harm to the environment.
In the event of a notifiable incident occurring, owners or occupiers of premises in the vicinity of the licensed premises shall be advised and updated in one or more of the following ways, depending on the risks posed by the incident:
