Sewerage Systems

Sewerage systems and the towns and localities they service.

The Bega Valley Shire covers an area of approximately 6052 square kilometres and is one of the largest coastal shires in NSW. There are ten sewerage systems that provide sewerage services to eighteen towns, villages and localities within this area:

Eden (1)

  • System Type: Conventional gravity and pump sewerage system with intermittently decanting extended aeration (IDEA) STP.

Tathra (4)

  • System Type: Conventional gravity and pump sewerage system with continuous extended aeration (CEA) STP.

Sewerage services are divided into two system categories. Conventional Gravity and Pump Sewerage systems, and Low-pressure systems.
