Council’s Events Strategy 2024-2028 provides a framework to guide our efforts in collaborating with the events industry and key stakeholders to realise our vision.
Vision: Council and community working together to support and deliver a diverse calendar of sustainable events that showcase what makes our region a great place to live, visit and invest.
Council directly supports a range of small events including Civic Ceremonies and Australia Day celebrations, with the majority of events in the Bega Valley delivered by community groups, individuals and private sector event organisers. Council’s role in events is varied.
By focusing on the vision and strategic priorities in the Events Strategy 2024, we will play our part in safeguarding one of our region’s genuine strengths.
