Recovered Aggregate - Brick and Concrete products

Recycled concrete and brick products are now available to the community from the Eden Waste and Recycling Centre.

The material is made from bricks and concrete received at the Centre from a range of sources, including large demolition and construction projects and smaller residential works.

All material is inspected when it arrives and tested after processing. Test results are available for each batch supplied.

Products available

Select Fill - $10 per tonne

Select Fill is made from crushed brick and concrete, ranging from 40 mm aggregate down to fine material or dust.

It can be used for:

  • Road and driveway sub-base
  • Filling low areas in roads and driveways
  • Shed pads
  • Hardstand areas
  • Other civil and construction applications.

When watered and compacted, Select Fill forms a stable, hard surface.

 

Bedding Sand - $10 per tonne

Bedding Sand is the fine material left after the recycled material has been screened.

It can be used for:

  • Pipe bedding
  • Levelling beneath concrete slabs
  • Footpath construction.

Clean Aggregate - $20 per tonne

Clean Aggregate is available in 40 mm and 20 mm sizes.

It is made from crushed brick and concrete with the fine material removed, making it suitable for applications where good drainage is needed.

It can be used for:

  • Backfilling behind retaining walls
  • Drainage
  • Aggregate drain lines
  • Other free-draining applications.
   

Collecting your material

Material is available for collection from the Eden Waste and Recycling Centre Wednesdays only, from 8 am to 4 pm.

Important: Wednesdays are for recycled concrete and brick product collections only.

  • The Eden Waste and Recycling Centre will be closed for all other waste and recycling services on Wednesdays. This means you will not be able to dispose of or drop off other waste and recycling at the Centre on Wednesdays during these hours.
  • Loads can only be supplied up to the legal carrying capacity of your vehicle or trailer.
  • As a guide, 1 cubic metre is approximately 1.6 tonnes.
