Restoration works scheduled for Upper Brogo Road

On display until 28 February 2026, 11:59 PM

Bega Valley Shire Council advises flood restoration works are scheduled for Upper Brogo Road, approximately 1.7km west of the intersection with Waterloo Creek Road, Brogo.

The works will commence on Wednesday 7 January 2026 and take two months to complete, weather permitting.

The works will be carried out by local contractors and involve constructing a block retaining wall to improve the durability of the road and repairing the road surface that was damaged during flood events.

During construction, a single lane with portable traffic lights will be open to light vehicles, including those towing trailers. Road users should expect delays of up to 15 minutes.

The site will be closed to trucks, buses and other heavy vehicles for the duration of the works. If residents require heavy vehicle access, such as water carts, it is recommended these are booked in prior to construction commencing.

If ground conditions become unsafe during construction, the road may close with limited notice.

Traffic management and signs will be in place.

Council thanks the community for their patience while these essential works are carried out.

This project is supported through the jointly funded Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).
