Wolumla Recreation Ground facilitates a soccer/cricket oval as well as an equestrian oval and a dedicated dog run. The site is home to the Wolumla Football Club, Wolumla Pony Club and Wolumla Cricket Club (no current team).
The Bega & District Softball Association use the site along with numerous school cross country events and the dog run is used for dog obedience training by the Sapphire Coast & Kennel Association.

Sportsgrounds either owned or managed by Bega Valley Shire Council can be booked for seasonal and casual use by sporting clubs and associations, schools and community groups.
